PPUI and GCSAI Greenkeeper Training Seminar 2018

The PPUI would like to remind all clubs about the PPUI / GCSAI Greenkeeper Training Seminar for 2018 which will be held in Ryston P&P Club, Newbridge, Co. Kildare and below is the Registration Form and the Agenda for the training seminar in Ryston P&P Club on 28th April.
PPUI / GCSAI Registration Form and Agenda
Those clubs who had their greenkeepers attend last year will attest to the benefit of attending the day and hopefully they all made use of the year membership to the GCSAI and the supports that comes with membership. The questionnaire at the end of the day last year was used when setting the agenda for 2018 and many of the items they asked for will be discussed on the day.
The agenda includes:
- Updates in terms of greens disease on what you can and can’t use after recent law changes by Greg Collins from Bayer
- Developing a greens maintenance programme from Eamonn Kealy, a lecturer in Sportsturf management
- Irrigation maintenance from Aquaturf
- Machinery Maintenance from Brodericks Grass Machinery
- Outdoor demonstrations of Machinery Maintenance and Irrigation System
There is a good mix of indoor and outdoor demonstrations and there will be ample opportunity for questions and answers. Damian McLaverty from GCSAI will also spend a few minutes demonstrating the GCSAI website and how it can be of huge benefit to greenkeepers.
Lunch will also be provided on the day along with light refreshments being available during the day so pre-registration is essential. We will NOT be able to take walk-ins on the day!!!!!!!
The cost of the seminar also includes annual membership to the GCSAI and for those who attended last year, their membership will be renewed when it expires in a few weeks.
